Welcome to Open Space Exploration Journal

Open Space Exploration Journal (OSEJ) is a new volunteer-driven online publication covering daily developments in the emerging field of community-driven, not-for-profit efforts into the exploration of space.

The OSEJ was directly inspired by registered Google Lunar X PRIZE contestant Team FREDNET, “a group of scientists, technologists, and engineers who are using their combined talents to create a timely and elegant solution to win the Google Lunar X Prize” under full public disclosure and ‘open source’ conditions.

It is our hope that by giving a more accessible look into the open development process of initiatives like Team FREDNET, we can help them attract the support and the volunteers they need to achieve their goals.

I hope you will enjoy our articles on the space revolution as much as we will enjoy writing them.

Anders Feder,
Lead Editor of Open Space Exploration Journal
